SALCEDO LAGOON WETLAND RESTORATION
The sacred Salcedo Lagoon in Colombia faces threats today due to the environmental degradation of the wetland, lack of local governance and climate change. Our team won a competition summoned by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and CAR in June 2025 aimed to propose a plan to restore the wetland's environmental wellness as well as to support the fragile local economy through a series of social entrepreneurship initiatives. The wetland's environmental restoration plan consists of implementing a community-based environmental education program, participatory ecological restoration, and sustainable development of the local economy.

GUARDIANS OF THE SACRED RIVER

Known as the ecological capital of Colombia, Minca is a small and charming town located in the foothills of Sierra Nevada, it is famous for its mild climate, lush vegetation, waterfalls, rivers, top ranking biodiversity and traditional Coffee and Cacao tours, it is therefore becoming a growing eco-tourism destination. However its main river is facing ecological degradation due to disorganized tourism, limited wastewater infrastructure, deforestation and global warming.
